GINA FULKERSON was born in Houston, Texas in 1958 and was raised in nearby Stafford. She attended Baylor University and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor Law School in 1983.

While an undergraduate at Baylor University, Gina was active in intercollegiate debate, winning numerous tournaments and Top Speaker Awards. She earned a full-tuition Leon Jaworski Scholarship to Baylor Law School based on her college debate record. While at Baylor Law School, she was Notes and Comments Editor and received the Leon Jaworski Award for Outstanding Law Review Work. She was successful in law school advocacy programs, including writing the winning Best Brief in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition. She was picked as one of the top ten trial advocates in Baylor Law School’s Practice Court Program.

Gina worked as a briefing attorney for Chief Justice Bob Shannon of the 3rd Court of Appeals (Austin, Texas) from 1983 to 1984. She has over twenty-five (25) years of litigation experience and has successfully litigated a broad range of cases, including complex personal injury, commercial construction, professional malpractice, school law, employment and commercial litigation cases. She has tried cases in state and federal court and has briefed and argued appeals at the court of appeals and Texas Supreme Court level.

Gina is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is a Life Fellow of the State Bar Foundation. Gina is actively involved in many local non-profit organizations, is a member of the Texas Association of School Boards and is Vice President of the Wimberley Independent School Board.

Gina and her husband, Tom, live in Wimberley and have two daughters and one son. When they are not involved in local school events, they enjoy the river and living in the Hill Country.
